Incredible Sex
three comic tales of love and lust
by Rich Orloff
Cast: 3+ W, 3+ M – all in their twenties
“INCREDIBLE SEX is lively, touching and sensitive, a humorous trio of one-act comedies that focus on far more than what the title implies. You may never think of sex the same way again.”
– Show Business Weekly
“Incredibly funny. Many one-liners and wacky, unpredictable plots. All three one-acts proved to be amusing and enjoyable, causing the audience to laugh out loud fairly frequently. A good time for all.”
– Off-Off-Broadway Review
“wonderfully funny”
– River Cities Reader (Clinton, Iowa)
INCREDIBLE SEX is a trio of comedies about love and desire, and the questions men and women face in their twenties. The plays can be performed by an ensemble cast of three men and three women, each playing two roles.
The plays include:
WOMEN IN HEAT – Two Ohio women vacationing in Key West have extreme (and extremely different) responses when they learn about an erotic adventure their best friend had the night before. When a man from that night presents all three with a daring offer, the women realize they’re not in Ohio anymore. Published in The Art of the One-Act Play. (3 w., 1 m., approx. 20 min.)
I DIDN’T KNOW YOU COULD COOK concerns a paraplegic school teacher who gets an odd ultimatum when he opens up to his conservative brother, which makes both of them face the question, “What are big brothers for?” Published in The Best American Short Plays 1995-1996. (2 m., approx. 25 min.)
MARS NEEDS WOMEN, BUT NOT AS MUCH AS ARNOLD SCHECTER asks: What does a New Jersey nerd do when his girl friend dumps him for a prince from Mars? He fights back, with advice from friends both local and intergalactic, and he gains a lesson in life both human and Martian. (3 m., 3 w., approx. 40 min.)
